Notes

Contains this brief write-up on The Church:

One of the great enigmas of Australian music. The rule of thumb said that Australian bands were tough, hard, and survived through their live performances. The Church's music was jangle, acoustic and kinda sixties without being retro. To make it internationally Australians were supposed to tour, tour, tour. The Church didn't do that either. They just made these beautifully intricate records, performed when they felt like it and won fans all over the world.
