As on her last release, Donnette Thayer is joined here with Church frontman Steve Kilbey, who co-wrote the songs as well as produced the album. There is a slightly psychedelic feel to most of this crisply produced project, although it's not quite as ethereal as the last Hex effort. In fact, many of these songs are out and out pop songs! Favorites include "Shelter"—I don't know, I hear Motown on that one, "Monarch," "Antelope" and "Orpheus Circuit." Light some incense and relax.
Great release. I used to have it on tape, but I seem to have misplaced it.
Does anyone know where I can get my hands on one?
