Notes
Grimpen Mire broke up before the release of this very obscure album. Singer/guitarist Melvin Stewart then disappeared, and Virgin naturally did nothing to promote it, despite its moments of fine melodic, jangly guitar-pop. Grimpen Mire is the name given by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to the hazardous, marshy, bog-riddled moors surrounding the Baskerville estate in his novel The Hound of The Baskervilles.
"See" said he, "no one could find his way into Grimpen Mire
tonight". She laughed and clapped her hands, her eyes and teeth gleamed with
fierce merriment. "He may find his way in, but never out" she cried.
