Here's one for completists. First draft mixes of our second album White Magic.

Sometimes the first draft mix of a song can be the best. But only when you go back and listen to it weeks or months later can you tell.

Early mixes can have a rawness and clarity that often gets sucked out by over-production. Not saying these early mixes are better than the final album, but they are more 'immediate'.

The most noticable thing with these mixes is the lack of heavy vocal effects like reverb, there is very little backing vocals, some drums are different, and a lot of the extra stuff like strings and solos are missing. Yet they still pack a punch.
