Another afternoon
The wind blew in my hair
Jardin du Luxembourg
A battered metal chair
The sky was blue and white
A bell was ringing loud
When suddenly I saw
You sitting on a cloud
So who in heaven's Conny Plank
A stranger true to me
I only wish that I'd met you
A shame that it won't be
A dream the chestnut trees
Beside the oval lake
The statues are asleep
And children are awake
And then way up above
I thought I heard a sound
Don't need to think too hard of you
To feel you're still around
So why on earth should Conny Plank
Occupy my mind
It's just a dreamy thought I had
Of a man I knew I'd like
An evening in Cologne
With darkness everywhere
With tears we shed for you
When they knew you weren't there
But everyone must go
And what you left behind
Is treasure left for everyone
For everyone to find
Oh I can listen back to Moebius
To everything by Can
I just wish I had the chance
To work with Conny Plank
And you can listen back to Moebius
To everything by Can
I just wish I'd had the chance
To work with Conny Plank
