A Visit To Karmic Hit Studios
In August 1998 I went to Sydney to visit Deanne Clark, who is soon to be my wife :) ! While I was there we met Russell Kilbey, who kindly arranged for us to see the Karmic Hit studios where The Church had recorded their most recent albums. It was a great feeling to see the room in which they had recorded the music I'd heard so many times. Here are the pictures I took during my visit.
Mmmm...the master tape rack. There were boxes and boxes of these tapes, full of goodness knows how many unheard songs. Some of the boxes were slightly open and letting dust settle on the tapes, so Deanne and I carefully cleared the dust and re-sealed the boxes. I really, really hope somebody can find the time to digitize this material and keep it safe. Some of those poor tapes looked like they weren't long for this world.
