There's a doll inside a doll
I never see her smile
She hasn't got a number, oh

Another inside, too
And all become the other
I wonder what to do

Perhaps she isn't there
No one comes to visit
She doesn't seem to care

But today lets play at tigers
Today we'll just let go
I want her to be a person
The Bible tells me so

She says lovely I'm so lovely
Oh I'm such a lovely one
I'm a doll inside a doll

She's forgotten her address
I want to tell her secrets
But I've nothing to confess

And another inside, too
