Finishing touches are being applied to the next album titled Lacuna. Recorded in May 2024 in Austin, Texas prior to the US tour. 20 tracks were recorded, we do have the song titles but no spoilers yet.

Recorded in 2021 with The Winged Heels. The songs were originally intended as a musical, composed during Steve's 'magical mystery' bus tour through rural Australia.

A graphic comic / novel which finds Hannibal Barca the Carthaginian general on the lam from the Roman Empire and hiding out in Asia Minor trying to organise local kings to fight against Rome . He is trapped in a weird but sexy relationship with his protector, the goddess Ishtar who wants him to go on killing folks…she feeds on death. We see him working for the hopeless king of Armenia and his tricky wife (who lusts after Hannibal) who are too broke to go on paying tribute to Rome . We drop in on the Roman Senate who are enraged that Hannibal is still out there causing trouble . And we eavesdrop on Hannibal and Ishtar and their pillow talk which all happens in his dreams (info from SK on facebook).

First time it’s been available on vinyl outside Australia since it was released on Chase records in 1987.

In 2025, Willson-Piper launched Archaeological Dig - Volume 1, the first in a planned trilogy of releases where he re-records over 30 songs from his extensive catalog. This re-imagined collection features ten songs from different time periods, played with strings, acoustics, piano, and keyboards while still incorporating bass, drums, and multi-layered vocals. The album revisits material from his solo career—including selections from In Reflection (1987), which also received a Record Store Day 2025 reissue, and Art Attack (1988)—as well as songs from his tenure with The Church, drawing from landmark albums like Heyday (1985) and Starfish (1988). Included in Volume 1 are fan favorites like "Tristesse," originally featured on Heyday (1985), and "Spark," from the platinum-selling Starfish (1988). (source - press release).
